Episilk contains ultra-high concentrations of hyaluronic acid (HA) or hyaluronan, an important element of skin tissue that allows the retention of skin moisture and functions as a lubricant between the connective tissues of the skin.

As we age, the presence of hyaluronic acid in the skin decreases, leaving the skin dry and wrinkled. HA is the most water-loving molecule known to man. In fact, 1 small gram of HA can bind up to 6 liters of water.
